PRLog (Press Release) – Drive-by download attacks are likely to be the biggest online threat this month, because of their multiple components; usually start with cyber criminals exploiting a Web vulnerability (such as facebook farmville vulnerability and wikileaks security vulnerability) to compromise a legitimate website.
Once the malicious executables are downloaded and opened on the target system, the drive-by download attack happens. For the script downloader, detected as types of trojan and backdoor programs through Java and PDF exploits.
Besides script downloaders, there are type of another main Drive-by download attack "Java downloaders", they don't use exploits to deliver the final payload, but rely on the Java OpenConnection method instead...
