No Google Toolbar For Firefox 5!

By: Navneet Kaushal Earlier this week Google Announced that its toolbar supports only versions leading to and including Firefox 4. For Firefox 5 and other versions upwards, Google Toolbar is not available. Google has been providing the Firefox browser with its support since 2005 and after all this time they have now decided to drop this support for the version upwards.
Google defends its withdrawal by commenting on their official Google Toolbar Help blog stating, As we all know, over the past few years, there has been a tremendous amount of innovation in the browser space. For Firefox users, many features that were once offered by Google Toolbar for Firefox are now already built right into the browser. Therefore, while Google Toolbar for Firefox works on versions up to and including Firefox 4 only, it will not be supported on Firefox 5 and future versions.
Check whether Google Toolbar will support your Firefox browser:
- On your Firefox browser 'Click' on the 'Help' menu. Once you've done that opt for the 'About Firefox' for the non Mac users. And for the Mac users the option is made available in the 'Firefox' menu.

Google warns Firefox 5 users about these add-ons though, Google does not make any warranties or guarantees about any add-ons. Always be careful when installing add-ons as they may cause security, performance, or instability issues.
The big question now is, this withdrawal of its support to the Firefox 5, will it have a snowball effect? Will the next victim be the newer versions of Internet Explorer too? There is too much that can follow. Keep pondering until Google makes its next announcement.
