fishbat, Long Island’s Largest Digital Marketing Agency, Gets Ready for Benefit Concert “Sand-Aid” to Help Long Islanders Coping with Superstorm Sandy Aftermath

fishbat prepares for the “Sand-Aid” concert to benefit the thousands of Long Islanders who continue to feel the effects of Superstorm Sandy.

Bohemia, NY  November 23, 2012
On November 23rd, fishbat, Long Island’s largest digital marketing agency, announces they are just two days away from the benefit concert that is being held to help the Long Island victims of Hurricane Sandy. The event is aimed at raising money and supplies for Island Harvest, a Long Island based food bank.
The benefit concert is scheduled to take place from 12 noon to 8 PM on Sunday, November 25th at 89 North Music Venue, located in Patchogue, NY, an area which experienced a considerable amount of flood damage from the hurricane. Tickets will be available at the door for $10. The concert features musical acts including -
  • Randy Jackson from Zebra
  • Bangers & Mash
  • Mid-Life Crisis
  • Cassandra House
  • Easy Chief
  • Graveyard Lovers
fishbat founder and CEO Clay Darrohn says, “We are sponsoring this concert to benefit our friends and neighbors who were badly hurt by Hurricane Sandy. Long Island has not faced such widespread devastation in recent memory. The damage done to Long Island is still being felt and people are still without power from a storm that happened only a few weeks ago. As a social media agency, we know how to reach a large number of people very quickly. So we are mobilizing ourselves and the resources at our disposal to help our friends, family and neighbors who are in desperate need of help.”
Darrohn goes on to state that the concert is not the end of fishbat’s #lendafin charity initiative. He explains that Hurricane Sandy charity efforts will continue throughout the holidays. Darrohn says, “While New Yorkers in general are known for having a tough edge, the extraordinarily generous nature of Long Islanders has been revealed by this disaster. So we invite everyone to come on down and join Long Islanders in helping Long Islanders. Come for an hour or come for the whole day. Let’s celebrate the spirit of Long Island and join us in rebuilding our community.”
