On November 14 and November 15 Fordham University's Rose Hill campus plays host to two full days of speakers, hands-on workshops, book signings, roundtable discussions, breakout sessions, and networking opportunities. Norm Brodsky, a serial entrepreneur and senior contributing editor for Inc. Magazine is the keynote speaker. The Social Impact Exchange 2013 Business Plan Competition
U.S.-based nonprofits in education, youth development, health and poverty alleviation with demonstrated impact and readiness to grow are invited to enter. Winners in the early- and mezzanine-stage tracks receive financial and consulting awards. Past awardees include the Parent-Child Home Program, Emerge Workplace Solutions, BELL, WINGS for kids, Catalyst Kitchens, and 10,000 Degrees. Click here for eligibility criteria and the entry process. The deadline for entry is December 7, 2012.

Do you have a big idea that could change the world? Echoing Green is looking for promising entrepreneurs starting up new organizations aiming to create large-scale social impact. The Echoing Green Fellowship awards up to $90,000 of start-up capital and two year of technical assistance to help get your organization off the ground.
The application will be open online from December 4th to January 7th, but you can get a head start by: 
  • Reviewing the application questions and a guide on how to answer the questions
  • Watching a few short videos on the application process.
  • Signing up for informational webinars targeting underrepresented applicants (including African Americans, US Latinos, and women).
