Appy Pie Inc., cloud based mobile apps builder, has announced the inclusion of 3 new Pocket Utility (Radio, Camera & Geolocation) APIs for its Do-it-Yourself mobile application platform.
Although Appy Pie was launched just a few months ago, the free platform has enjoyed a quick adoption rate. In just three months, users have utilized the platform to conjure up more than 950 apps. Users need zero programming skills to build apps on the platform. Simply drag and drop content and receive an HTML 5 based app that works across multiple platforms.
“Integration with the Radio, Camera & Geolocation APIs will empower our growing base of Small & Medium Business Owners to add high end multimedia features like Radio on the Go, Photos & Location Sharing using Facebook & Twitter on their app and thereby making the app more interactive and hence more popular with their User Base” said Abhinav Girdhar, CEO at Appy Pie
Girdhar continued “We at Appy Pie are committed to the growing needs of Small & Medium Business Owners as at end of the day it’s the Mobile apps they create using our Platform helps us stand out from the Crowd, And every day we receive many requests for adding new API’s so it becomes imperative for us to continuously add them to our platform, next in our pipeline is appointment Scheduler API that will empower Doctors, Dentists, Salons, lawyers & Other Small & Medium Enterprises to take appointments using their App.”
Appy Pie has ambitious goals for its app creation tools. Rather than keeping them rudimentary, the company is looking to integrate with APIs in order to add utility. Since some restaurants have express interest in using the platform to build custom apps for their venues, Appy Pie has integrated with OpenTable. The app builder now also supports SoundCloud and dictionary and Khan Academy APIs.
