On February 11, 2013, social media agency fishbat comments on the article published by IGN’s Matt Clark about Instagram taking a prolonged move into the realm of web browsing.

According to the article, users will no longer be limited to using the app to check their picture feed, as web browsers now support the option of a live updating feed. The article states that as of February 5th, Instagram uses can view their full Instagram feed online.

Co-founder of Instagram Kevin Systrom claims, “Your Instagram feed on the web functions much like it does on your mobile phone,” making the transition to browser an easy move for concerned users.

However, IGN reports that uploading pictures to the site is still not functional at this time. According to Systrom, web uploads are unavailable due to Instagram being “about producing photos on the go, in the real world, in real time.”
