Overdrive Interactive, a leading digital marketing agency, is releasing its Twitter Design Guide, available for free to help Twitter users optimize the appearance of their Twitter pages. The guide is geared toward marketers, companies, and individuals who wish to establish, or improve their social media marketing image. The Twitter Design Guide offers a clear and concise presentation of both specifications and best practices related to designing Twitter accounts. The guide is available for download at:http://www.ovrdrv.com/twitterdesign.
“We developed this guide because many of our clients were asking for an easy-to-follow document that quickly and simply laid out the specs and best practices related to setting up and designing their Twitter account,” said Harry Gold, CEO of Overdrive. “Creating profile pages that are both highly functional and visually appealing is essential to projecting the right image.”
Overdrive’s new Twitter Design Guide highlights the six major design elements of a Twitter account, providing the specifications for each along with a brief explanation of the design features making it easy to follow and implement.
Three examples of best practices included in the Twitter Design Guide include:
1. Profile Photo: Twitter will stretch and shrink images that are improperly sized. Best Practice: Create an image that is128 pixels wide x 128 pixels tall for a high quality image.
2. Bio: Twitter allows 160 characters for a company description placed on top of your header. Best Practice: Don’t include your URL and location in the bio - separate inputs in your settings allow for your URL and location, leaving you precious characters for company description.
3. Background Image: Before designing, you must choose an alignment. Best Practice: Use left or center alignment to avoid any scrolling issues and minimize the risk of images being obscured by the browser window.
